Kevin Valley presents Rowing the Northwest Passage

Join local author and adventurer Kevin Vallely for an evening celebrating a fantastic season of reading outside our comfort zones as Vallely presents Rowing the Northwest Passage. Through the gripping true story of his attempt to traverse the Northwest Passage by rowboat, Vallely provides a fascinating look at one of the most rapidly changing landscapes on earth—the high Arctic—and a passionate plea about the growing urgency of climate change.

Kevin Vallely is an architect, an adventurer, and the author of Rowing the Northwest Passage (Greystone Books, 2017). He is a member of the Explorer’s Club and was an Explorer’s Club Flag recipient. In 2009 he and two teammates broke the world record for the fastest unsupported trek from the edge of the Antarctic continent to the Geographic South Pole.
