Tis is the season...
Our little complex has started to decorate for the Christmas season. For 13 years the Village Plaza has been transformed into an enchanting place with decorated trees under the leadership of the Lynn Valley Community Association. North Vancouver Recreation and Culture and the Lynn Valley Library have also put on various events in December and this year is no different.

DECEMBER 2, 10 AM - 2 PM - at the Lynn Valley Community Room - LIBRARY
North Shore Authors Collection Book Fair
Looking for great holiday gifts or eager to discover captivating stories written by North Shore authors? Join us to read local and support local authors. Explore a diverse collection of books authored by more than 20 talented writers from the North Shore Authors Collection. Meet the authors in person to chat about their work or have your books personally signed.

DECEMBER 3, 4:00 - 5:00 PM at the Lynn Valley Village Plaza - LVCA
Tree Lighting Ceremony
Join us at the lighting ceremony for the Parade of Trees on December 3rd from 4 – 5 pm, with the lighting at 4:45 pm. There will be face painting and crafts in the community room and a “flash mob” dance from the RNB dance troupe!
The event is put on with support from North Vancouver Recreation & Culture, Lynn Valley Village, Lynn Valley Centre, Twin Lions Contracting Ltd., Rona, and North Vancouver District.

Join us in the plaza at Lynn Valley Village to listen to the Ross Road Elementary School Choir. They will be singing classic holiday songs and bringing lots of joy to the plaza.

Holiday Sing-Along
Lynn Valley Library children's librarians are hosting a fun-filled holiday sing-along where they will lead you in singing some popular holiday songs.

Christmas Harmony Singers
Join us in the plaza at Lynn Village and rejoice in the musical stylings of The Christmas Harmony Singers. They will be performing all of your holiday favourites in four-part magical harmony.

On December 21, join us for the Shortest Day of the Year. Come and celebrate the beginning of a new period of increasing light and growth in your life. We will explore various ways that different cultures celebrate this auspicious occasion. This includes Yalda celebrated by Iranians; Stonehenge gathering celebrated by the English; Dongji celebrated by South Koreans; Santo Tomas Festival celebrated by the Guatemalans; and the various ways that the Indigenous peoples of North America celebrate this special occasion.

In the winter of 1993, a small coffee kiosk opened its doors in Vancouver, 200 square feet at most, and began serving coffee and a vision of community and connection. Fast forward 30 years and Delany's Coffee House has grown from that humble roadside kiosk to a beloved local institution with multiple locations throughout the North Shore of Vancouver.
The story of Delany's Coffee House is a testament to the power of perseverance, community, and family. The Delany family started their business in a tiny kiosk. They embraced the idea that a small coffee shop could be more than just a place to grab a latte; it could become the heart of a neighbourhood. After four years of dedication and hard work, they felt confident enough to expand their dream, opening their second store in Edgemont Village, North Vancouver.
